Celebrate 25 years of the Austin Counties Annual Car Rally


There will be a display of around 30 Classic Cars at Tenterden’s Steam Railway on Saturday 14 October and 60 vehicles on Sunday 15 October 2017.

The club, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary at the Kent and East Sussex Railway this year, will put on an interesting display of its members vehicles and guests - some of which date back to 1915! Models on show may include Austin 7’s and an impressive Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

The vehicles will be positioned all around Tenterden Station including outside the Colonel Stephens Railway Museum.

The event is open to visitors to the railway and members of the Austin Countries Car Club.

Trains will be running all weekend and tickets booked online in advance will benefit from a 10% discount.

The Station Refreshment Rooms at Tenterden Station will be open for breakfast from 10.00am with a range of hot and cold meals served throughout the day.

The award winning Colonel Stephens Railway Museum will be open throughout the weekend, with free entry to ticket holders and tells the story of Colonel Stephens the founder of the Kent & East Sussex Railway and the promoter of light railways across the country, through a collection of railwayana.

Admission including an all-day Travel Card: Adult £18, Child (3 - 15 years inc.) £12 and Family (2 adults + up to 3 children or 1 adult and up to 4 children) £38.
